About me

I am German Native with Italian roots and have a strong passion for foreign cultures and languages. What I like most about translating is that each day I am given the opportunity to gain knowledge of new topics, do research on various themes and find the best possible solutions to make documents and communication work.

I am attracted by political and journalistic topics and passionate about the concept of European Integration. So I started my work as translator in Brussels and Luxembourg, taking care of plenty of different text types and documents for EU-Institutions. Furthermore, I was part of a team translating a European daily Bulletin into German.

I decided to expand my professional experience and started to work in the banking business, first for an American and a Swiss Bank. Although the Banking environment in actual fact differs from the creative translation industry I am thankful to my in-house experience in these two world’s leading banks. I became familiar with their structure, programs and (external and internal) communication and am now used to review banking and financial documents from English to German as well as translating Banking texts into German.

I see myself as an intermediary between cultures and therefore do not only focus mainly on language transfer.

Only if I have the impression, that I fully understood and transposed the message and purpose of my clients, I am satisfied with my work. My aim is to provide the desired output and to assist them in feeling comfortable when communicating with target companies and/or persons situated in other countries and cultures.

My focus on providing high quality translations goes without saying. I am pleased to work for clients who really breathe reliability, seriousness, professionalism and quality. My aim is to lead this commitment to intensive cooperation and to a real partnership between customer and translator in our intention to improve project workflows and to work on their sustainability.
